Today you're going to be taking a look at, I'm going to help you install the Reece Quick Install Custom Outboard Installation Kit with Base Rails for 5th Wheel Hitches on our 2018 Ram 2500.This is going to be an above bed rail kit and what it's designed to do is to not only allow you to easily place your rail mounted 5th wheel hitches in the bed of your truck but also remove them to give you total bed access.These rails are not only going to be compatible with Reece 5th wheel hitches but they're also compatible with DrawTite, Curt, Hidden Hitch, Husky, and Valley 5th wheel hitches.You'll notice the slots here on the top and then the holes here on the sides. Today on this 2013 Ram 2500, we're going to review and install the Reese Quick-Install Custom Outboard installation kit with base rails, part number RP56011-53. This is what the rails look like when they're installed in the bed of a truck. As you can see, they're a little bit taller and bigger compared to a traditional fifth wheel rails you're used to seeing, but that's a good thing because fifth wheel rails aren't really rated, but these rails are. In fact, it's actually marked on the rail itself according to the slots. These guys are going to be quite a bit longer compared to the original style that you're used to as well. This goes almost all the way to the edge of the fender well, and it makes it a little bit easier underneath the vehicle to install them with the customer fit brackets that go onto the side of the frame. more

Here's what our fifth wheel rails look like installed. These rails will allow you to tow a fifth wheel trailer with a standard fifth wheel hitch or a sliding fifth wheel hitch. What's great about these rails is that are industry standard rails, so you'll be able to accept most, if not all fifth wheel hitches and sliders with these. Now a lot of our customers with newer trucks that our purchasing a brand new truck to tow a brand new fifth wheel trailer, they like to go with an under bed solution, because that maintains full truck bed access, but with these if you are upgrading your tow vehicle and you already have a standard fifth wheel hitch that goes in the rails, you'll still be able to reuse your old fifth wheel hitch to tow your trailer.Now when you're not towing your fifth wheel trailer, you can easily remove your fifth wheel head and these rails only will stick up above the bed of your truck by about an inch and a half. Curt Fifth Wheel Kit Installation - 2018 Ram 2500- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Ram 2500 we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt custom fifth wheel installation kit for Ram trucks in a carbide finish, part number is C16427-204. Now it's also available in a black gloss finish, part number C16427-104.Here's what our fifth wheel installation kit looks like once we have it installed and this is gonna allow us to tow a fifth wheel trailer safely down the road. The rails in the bed have several mounting points because they're gonna accept most industry standard fifth wheel bases or sliders. Whenever we're not towing with our fifth wheel and we pull the head and the base out our rails are only gonna take up about an inch above the floor of our bed that way we still have plenty of room to load it up with whatever we may need.This is a custom installation kit which is gonna cut down a lot on the install time. We're not gonna have to drill into the frame at all, it's gonna use existing weld nuts, but we are gonna have to drill several holes in the bed so we can attach the rails. Now the rails themselves have a nice powered coated finish to protect them and keep them looking nice and the carbide finish on these in particular is gonna match the Curt fifth wheel's exactly.Now that we've seen what our installation kit looks like and the rails in the bed let's show you how to get it installed. more

B and W Custom Base Rails Kit Installation - 2016 Ram 2500- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Ram 2500, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the BMW custom base rails and installation kit for fifth wheel trailer hitches, part number BWRBK2602.So here's what our base rails look like when they're fully installed. Now, these are gonna allow us to tow a fifth wheel trailer with a fifth wheel hitch in the back of our bed. Now, these rails will work with most industry standard fifth wheel bases or sliders. Now, when we're not towing and we need a little bit more room, we can remove the base and the fifth wheel out of our bed, and the rails are only gonna stick up about an inch and a half from the floor.These are steel construction and they have a nice gloss gray powder coat finish, opposed to the black you see on most rails. Now these rails are mounted inboard, which means the brackets they're attaching to under our bed are on the inside of our frame. Now that we've gone over some of the features, let's show you how we get it installed.The first of our installations, we're gonna need to put one of our rails towards the front of our cab in our bed. more

They're going to be sitting in our bed and they're only going to take up right about just a little bit over an inch of room in our bed. Now these rails are going to allow us to put a fifth wheel in our bed and tow a fifth wheel trailer. Now these are going to accept most industry standard fifth wheel bases. Now these rails do come with a custom kit for our truck, which is going to reduce the installation time because we're not going to have to drill into any part of the frame. more

Reese Quick-Install Base Rails and Outboard Kit Installation - 2016 Ram 2500- Video

Today on our 2016 Ram 2500 we'll be having a look at and installing the Reese Quick-Install custom base rails and outboard installation kit for fifth wheel trailer hitches, part number RP56009-53. Here's what our Reese fifth wheels look like installed. As you can see, they are a full width of the bed of our truck, giving us an easier installation than other rails that aren't mounted on the outboard side of the frame. Now one thing that's unique to these rails compared to other fifth wheel rails, is we actually have a weight rating limit that extends out the further you go. If you use your two inner locations here, you're rated at 16,000 pounds. If you use the middle ones, you're rated at 20,000 pounds. The outer holes in the rail are rated to 25,000 pounds. more

Curt Fifth Wheel Kit Installation - 2015 Ram 2500- Video

Today, on our 2015 Ram 2500, we'll be reviewing and installing the Curt custom fifth wheel install kit, part number C16427-204. Now, while it's not totally required, to make it easier to do the install, if your vehicle's equipped with a spare tire, we recommend to go ahead and lower and remove it. Now, to begin our install, we first need to locate the forward attachment points for our front brackets. These are weld nuts built into the frame by the manufacturer. Now, over time, these weld nuts are going to build up rust, dust, dirt and debris, so we're going to spray each one with a spray lubricant and then use our half inch nylon tube brush, part number 814092, to thoroughly clean out the threads. Then, I recommend to take one of the new 12 millimeter bolts and thread it into the weld nuts to make sure they're going to go nice and easily. Now, that we know that we've got both weld nuts cleaned out, let's go ahead and take a look at our attachment hardware. For the rear fastener, it'll be a 12 millimeter bolt but it's the shorter bolt, as our longer 12 millimeter bolt will go in the forward attachment point. Each of these bolts will get a conical tooth washer. more

Curt Fifth Wheel Kit Installation - 2016 Ram 1500- Video

Today on this 2016 Ram 1500 Crew Cab, we're going to review and install the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit; part number C16444-204. This is what the rails look like when they're installed in the bed of your Dodge pickup. In this case we installed this in a short bed pickup. With no hitch in there you still have full access to your bed and these bed rails are going to be great for when the time comes to pull your fifth wheel trailer. It does work with a wide variety of fifth wheel hitches that are out there as well as gooseneck adapters. This is a classic five bolt design and you get the five bolts that hold that cross-rail into place. On these rails, they're active weight capacity is actually limited by what your truck can actually pull. The kit does come with the rails you see on top of the truck as well as the brackets that go below the truck as well. more

Today, on our 2011 Ram 2500 Mega Cab, we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the CURT Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for the Ram truck. Part number is C16420-104. Here's what our rails are going to look like mounted in the bed of the truck. You can see we've already got our fifth wheel in there. Great thing about the rail kit, we've got three different widths here to choose from for accessories that you might put in it. That's going to help it work with, of course, CURT, but also Reese, Valley, Husky, Draw-Tite. Whatever has a standard pattern like this, we'll be able to put it in there, and it's going to work fine. As you can see, nice matte powder coat finish here gives this a nice clean look in the bed of the truck. more
